I grew up in Washington State and attended Mercer Island High School. I am currently a senior civil engineering major at Seattle University. I have been a member of Engineers for a Sustainable World for three years and acted as co-president last year. This year I will be treasurer and fundraising chair. I currently volunteer at Bailey Gatzert, running a weekly civil engineering enrichment program. I also currently volunteer at Saint James Cathedral, serving hot food to the homeless every week.
In addition to running a weekly civil engineering enrichment program, I also volunteer at Bailey Gatzert through the Bannan Scholars. The Bannan Scholars is a Seattle University community service based academic scholarship program for STEM majors. Through the Bannan Scholars Program and my civil engineering enrichment program, I facilitate engineering themed activities with 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders.
