When should semi-colons (;) be used in a list format when writing?
Semi-colons should be used in a list format after a colon and when the the parts of the list you want to express can be expressed as independent clauses. Example: While traveling, I fell in love with: the smell of French bread in the morning; the way time stands still on a train; and, how easy it is to transport yourself from one location to another.

When should I use 'do' or 'make'?
Do should be used when talking about an action, obligations, or repetitive tasks. Common phrases with 'do' include housework, school, or shopping related sentences. Examples include: "I'm going to do my homework"; "I'm going to do the shopping"; "I'm going to do the chores.". Make should be used when the end result is something is created. This can include baking, cooking, money, relationships, etc. Examples include: "I'm going to make cookies, I'm going to make money, I'm going to make friends."
