What is the best way to start off a personal/expository essay?
The introduction paragraph in your essay is going to set the tone for the rest of your paper. Therefore, you want to start off strong. Personally I love to begin my papers with a risky or humorous opening line, because I believe this grabs the reader's attention. For example, lets say you're writing an essay about online dating sites, your first sentence could be, "Swipe left or right, those are the two options I've been given for finding a relationship in today's society." By relating your opening to an experience others commonly have you force them to interact. Many people try to begin papers with quotes or questions, and I think that strategy typically distracts the reader from your overall message.

What is the importance of judicial review and how was it established?
Judicial Review is a process in which federal courts can review the constitutionality of state laws, acts, and executive actions. Judicial review is important, because out of the three branches of government the Judicial Branch fights the hardest for individual rights and liberties. Judicial Review is not discussed in the Constitution, and was established in the case of Marbury v. Madison (1803) when judges viewed presidential acts as unconstitutional.
What is the difference between biological fitness and the definition of fitness we use today? What factors can impact biological fitness?
When most of us initially think of fitness we think of physically appearance and overall health. However, biological fitness is very different. Biological fitness focuses on one's ability to produce surviving and fertile offspring compared to other individuals in that population. For example, lets say that your father has 7 kids that are all healthy and able to reproduce, and your uncle has only 2 kids that survive and can reproduce. You father has a greater biological fitness than your uncle. There are many different factors that can effect biological fitness. Environmental factors such as habitat destruction, loss of food source, and disease outbreaks. Sexual Selection factors such as not being genetically "attractive" to possible mates or not being capable of reproduction.
