Spanish
TutorMe
Question:

I'm not in high school anymore, is it to late to learn Spanish?

Caitlyn D.
Answer:

Absolutely not! Anyone at any age can learn a new language. Spanish is a great language to learn at any age because there are many cognates. Cognates are words that sound similar and have the same meaning in both Spanish and English.

Study Skills
TutorMe
Question:

What's the best way to study?

Caitlyn D.
Answer:

That depends! There's no "right" way to study. It depends on each student's personality and learning style. Finding the best way to study is really an individual process of trial and error. It takes time to figure out what method of studying works best.

ACT
TutorMe
Question:

Should I rely on what sounds right when answering question for the English section of the ACT?

Caitlyn D.
Answer:

Not necessarily! While our ears can sometimes be helpful when answering questions in this section, it can also lead us astray. "Should of" and "should have" tend to sound the same, but "should have" is gramatically correct. It's important to know grammar rules so we are not deceived by our ears!
