I came to the education field through serendipity and passion. Creativity has always been my lifeblood, so I studied art and writing. I fell in love with teaching and realized that it was an awesome way to unite my passions for prompting growth and creative problem solving. I like to help myself continue to grow by traveling, learning new languages, and writing. I have been working in education for over three years, and I plan on continuing this path by getting a master’s degree in teaching.
My teaching experience began early in college as a writing tutor for my peers. In my senior year of college, I took the role of an art teacher with Center for Autism Spectrum Enrichment (CASE). As a teacher at CASE, I developed and taught art curriculum for high school students with Asperger’s syndrome for a school year.
After college, I worked in my local school district as a substitute teacher and private math tutor. I also began tutoring a number of humanities subjects with tutor.com. These jobs refined my skill at engaging students,
