Question:

How do I start writing an essay?

Jason B.
Answer:

The best way is to organize your thoughts. You can use the 5 paragraph structure as an outline. It may be helpful to create an outline, then fill in as much detail as possible. Write an overall topic sentence. Then create 3 points to use as topic sentences that fall under the same idea as the topic. Fill in a conclusion sentence to see how you will proceed with your writing. Remember, this is just a model. When your skills improve, you can expand upon it and utilize more complex ideas.

Question:

How can I remember all of these vocabulary words?

Jason B.
Answer:

Making flash cards as a study aid is very useful. Using the new word in a sentence is a great idea as well. But the best mode of learning vocabulary is to contextualize it. That means to create a sentence or idea that utilizes the vocabulary word within a memorable situation that you already know well.
