Hello! I'm Eric. I'm a professional educator with over six years of tutoring experience. I'm a former high school science teacher and, most recently, was an education director in New York City. I have also been a test prep tutor (primarily the ACT and SAT) for the last two years. My tutoring style is relationship-based. I strive to get to know students and tailor a tutoring program specifically for them. The tutoring environment I create is a space where students can feel relaxed, challenged, and free to make mistakes (dare I say have fun?).
From 2009-2012, I taught high school chemistry and biology to 9th-11th graders. After spending a year working for Grassroot Soccer in South Africa, I joined the staff of South Bronx United, a youth-based sports and education non-profit. For the past six years, I directed all academic programs including the after-school tutoring program and SAT Prep program. Since 2016, I have also been a professional tutor with Bespoke Education in New York. I focused on SAT and ACT test prep but also worked with students on homework help.
