Elaborate the role of an APN in health promotion?
The intersection of primary health care and advanced practice nurses as two global phenomena is the concept of human resources for health. An adequate supply and appropriate mix of health care providers is critical to achieve the global agenda for health and advanced practice nurses are an essential component of country-level health human resources. Advanced practice nursing (APN) roles are at an early stage of development in Latin American countries. Why might a blood clot be important to maintaining homeostasis?
A blood clot is important to maintaining homeostasis because without blood clots simple cuts would allow us to completely bleed out and die. Although, we do not want blood clots to form when there are no cuts, they are also crucial to keeping us alive in other conditions. This is the delicate balance of homeostasis. Blood needs to continue flowing throughout our body in order to provide oxygen and nutrients and remove waste. Blood clots within our body can stop blood flow and cause internal damage, such as during a stroke. However, if we have a cut it is imperative that our blood be able to clot and restore the normal circulatory patterns. Homeostasis is about maintaining a balance such as this in our body.
