Subject: Geology
I am having trouble making correct mineral identifications in lab. Is there a good way to tell different minerals apart?
Many times there is not one single thing that will help you with identification, but a culmination of many things. For example, quartz and calcite look very similar. They are both opaque and white. However, with a Mohr of 7 quartz is much harder than calcite. So performing a hardness test on both will help you determine which is which. Do you have some examples of samples you have had some problems with?

How would I cite this interview I conducted for my paper?
This will depend on the citation style you are using. There are many helpful resources online, have you ever used Purdue Owl?

I am writing a paper about the US Civil War and I need to use primary sources. Could you help me find some primary sources I can use?
Sure! Many historical databases have limiters that allow you to limit to primary sources. Additionally, newspaper articles from the time period are great sources to start a search. Let's see what databases you have access to.
