Is there a gender pay gap? If so, why?
Yes, there is a gender pay gap in the United States of America. Some of the reasons for this is the speculation that men work in more dangerous positions than women. These jobs, like construction or road work, require physical work which many women can't handle. Of course, there are women who are perfectly qualified for these jobs, but the vast majority of these jobs are filled by men. Another reason is the thought of women being the primary caretakers for children. Again, this is not a hard and fast rule. However, women do typically care for their children more than men. Especially in the early years of a child's life. Also, women carry and deliver children, and because of that, they are forced to take off more time from work than their male counterparts.

What battle (or battles) turned the tide for the US in the American Revolution?
The Battles of Saratoga were two separated battles within a month of each other. The first was the Battle of Freeman's Farm. The second was the Battle of Bemis Heights. One result of these battles was the French government's decision to join the war on the US side. This created the Franco-American Alliance and moved the war to a global scale.
