Question:

In the simplest terms, how should I organize my essays?

Brian E.
Answer:

A military man once told me that writing an essay is quite possibly the simplest form of communication. There is only three steps in a standard expository essay: 1. Tell your audience what you will tell them. 2. Tell them. 3. Tell the audience what you told them. This is the basic intro body conclusion format, as simple as possible. Anything fancier than this is style that you develop yourself. If you master this simple format, you will write effective essays.

Question:

What is the Demand Curve?

Brian E.
Answer:

The Demand Curve is a linear graph. The graph compares price on the x-axis with quantity on the y-axis. As the price of an item increases, the quantity demanded goes down. Therefore, the Demand curve is a downward slopping linear graph.

Question:

What is Time Value of Money?

Brian E.
Answer:

Time Value of Money, or TVM, is the idea that a dollar today is worth more than a dollar tomorrow, because it can be invested. In the very long term, it is also worth more because inflation will eventually depreciate the money. If you are given the option of receiving cash today or cash tomorrow, always choose today, because if you choose tomorrow, you will lose out on the returns you could generate with investments today.
