Religion is defined as "a particular system of faith and worship," usually assuming the belief in one God, many gods, or some kind of higher power. Spirituality involves connection to non-physical elements with a focus on the human soul and state of being. Although religion and spirituality are separate by definition and practice, the two often overlap and are practices simultaneously to supplement the other. One can be religious but not spiritual and vice versa, However, one can also be religious and spiritual.

What events led up to the rise of the Nazi Party and Hitler's election in post-World War I Germany?
After World War I, Germany was, arguably, treated unfairly under the Treaty of Versailles. Germany was stripped of its military power, forced to give up colonies abroad, and experienced an economic devastation which led to hyperinflation across the country. The German people were desperate and needed a solution to their problems. Adolph Hitler took advantage of the opportunity to be that "savior" for the German people and was voted through democratic election to be the leader of Germany. No one knew what the consequences would be.
