Explain how a parallelogram is different from a rectangle.
A parallelogram is a quadrilateral with two pairs of parallel sides which are opposite and equal. The angles between the adjacent sides is not 90 degrees. The lengths of the diagonals are not equal. A rectangle is also a quadrilateral with two pairs of parallel sides which are opposite and equal but the congruent sides are perpendicular. The angles between the adjacent sides is 90 degrees. Also the length of the diagonals is equal.
