Who is the father of Social Conflict theory and what is the theory?
Karl Marx is the founding father of conflict theory. Conflict theory is founded on the belief that life is an eternal competition for limited resources and that society is perpetually in a state of conflict for domination and power, rather that conformity. This theory is intended as an explanation for all greed and wars that cause social disrupt.
Pavlov is known for a certain kind of conditioning. What is that type of conditioning and how did he test it?
Pavlov created the theory of classical conditioning. He developed this theory using his dogs and a bell. Every time he rang a bell, he presented the dogs with food. The dogs then salivated as a reaction. In this scenario, the bell represents the unconditioned stimulus, the salivation is the reaction which was caused by the food, which is the conditioned stimulus.
What factors can change the supply curve? What factors can influence the demand curve?
Production costs and other costs can cause the supply curve right or left. If production costs increase, it would cause supply to decrease and the curve to shift left. Demand is influenced by any non-price factors. If the price of an item goes up, demand for it would go down, causing the curve to shift to the right.
