What are the primary elements of a well-crafted expository essay?
Expository pieces aim to explain and provide information to the reader. They are well-researched and authoritative and endeavor less to convince or persuade, but rather to inform. Expository writing is well-organized and synthesizes information from multiple sources in a way that allows the reader to understand the breadth of the topic at hand.

What were the causes of the Fall of the Roman Empire?
The Roman Empire reached its height with the Pax Romana during the 1st and 2nd Centuries CE. Beginning in the 3rd and 4th Centuries, the Roman Empire expanded greatly and included peoples of many nationalities with various linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Religion, too, played a significant role in the diverse population of the empire. The size of the empire, its ethnic and linguistic composition, and the increased prevalence of foreigners in the Roman military all led--gradually and nearly imperceptibly to those living at the time--to the Fall of Rome.

What was the impact of the Great Depression in United States history?
The Great Depression was most certainly one of the most impactful events in U.S. History. This economic collapse forever altered the American landscape and led to significant changes in government, social structure and demographic composition. There was a significant expansion in government programs, including social security and work programs that helped to alleviate the rampant unemployment. Women, too, became more engaged in the workplace like never before in the country's history. The advent of the Second World War began to stem the impact of the crisis and revitalized the economy, but only after fifteen years of financial ruin, widespread poverty, and staggering unemployment.
