Name two authors that new writers may go to for help with writing structure and describe the outline of their templates.
Aristotle famously broke down story structure in Poetics. To put it simply, Aristotle showed that every story has two parts: complication and unraveling. Complication involves the rise of a conflict and the protagonist's attempts of dealing with that conflict and the unraveling shows the protagonists finally overcoming the conflict. Joseph Campbell presented the theory of the Hero's Journey, and made the claim that every story followed a basic structure fueled by ancient epics. The protagonists journeys from their known world into the unknown where they encounter thresholds, overcome challenges, transform, and ultimately return to their known world with the knowledge gained through their journey.
Provide an example of a story that uses post-modernism and describe what exactly puts the book in the post-modernism category.
A well known post-modernist work is Mark Z. Danielewski's House of Leaves. House of Leaves features three different narratives, two of which may not have even occurred and one that is told exclusively through footnotes. In addition, many pages have text that are placed outside the norm, for example, certain pages have upside down text and others have backwards text. The books refusal to conform to literary tradition, to the point where even word placement is played with, is what makes it post modern.

How can a director effectively direct the audience to a certain object on screen without focusing the camera on that object?
Mise-en-scene involves the objects on a screen that are in the background. A good director will always be aware of everything that's on the screen, and by playing with visual techniques such as contrasting colors or varied lighting, the director can encourage the audience to pay attention to certain objects without making it glaringly obvious.
