What is a LibGuide and what is the purpose of a LibGuide?
LibGuides are subject related pages found on library websites. Librarians assemble these pages to help patrons by creating a page that provides websites, resource tools, and information geared to one specific subject. LibGuides are commonly used in academic libraries and are created by librarians that are familiar with the subject.

What is an effective way of narrowing down my search results and finding specific information on how video games can affect child development?
Using Boolean operators such as AND, OR, NOT, AND NOT can be used to search specific articles and information pertaining to the subject you research. Unlike Google, where you can type multiple terms as a sentence, most databases require using keywords. For example, if you searched using Google, you would type " effects of video games on child development." However, when you search on a database such as "Academic Search Complete," you would type "child development" AND "video games" AND "affects." To narrow down results even further, you can use the date range tab and select to see only peer-reviewed articles. Most databases also give you the option to choose from specific journals.

Where and how can I get stock footage from a website uploaded to my video project using movie maker?
You find free stock footage on websites such as pexels.com and videvo.net. Download your chosen stock footage, then go to your video project on movie maker. Select "add videos and photos" ( located on the left side on the home tab). Find the "downloads" file and look for recent downloads. Simply click on the downloaded stock footage and it will appear in your clipboard.
