How can I master Spanish language and grammar? It is so different from English!
I like to think of a sentence in Spanish like a math problem at first. The tenses are like operations and you follow a formula so everything equals out. Just like you would practice math, you practice conjugating and learning vocabulary. Once you work on that, you start to appreciate the art of the language and you will be amazed at what you can speak and understand!
Subject: Physical Therapy
How can you tutor someone in Physical Therapy?
That is a good question! Physical Therapy is a complex and diverse field that encompasses a variety of different subjects. In my graduate program I have learned anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, exercise physiology, therapeutic modalities, principles of exercise, examination, evaluation, and therapeutic interventions. I have covered the musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiovascular/pulmonary, integumentary, genitourinary, and lymphatic systems. I have a very good foundation in all these areas and am able to translate that knowledge into critical thinking and decision making.
Subject: Study Skills
I have a test I am studying for and I don't know where to start. What should I do?
The first thing to do is make a timeline. When is the test happening, and how much time do you have to devote to studying? Nobody studies ALL the time, you have other things going on as well! We make a schedule and figure out a solution that will challenge you but also fit into your life and be something you can maintain long term. As we progress, I work with you to figure out how you learn best and layer in test taking strategies, time management skills, and more!
