Work Experience
UCSD History Dept, Course Grader
2021 - Present
I grade papers for a history professor at UCSD and often give writing feedback to students.
UCSD Bookstore, Cashier
2019 - 2020
I gained real-life experience working as a student employee while balancing school. As a representative of UCSD, I was able to share my experience with visitors in the store. I efficiently communicated with customers and helped them around the store. As a seasoned employee, I frequently had the opportunity to train new cashiers and take the lead on handling more complicated transactions.
UCSD History Department, UCSD History Honors Program
2019 - 2020
In September I took a course in research methods, historiography, and source analysis. Then I completed a 35-page research paper about the Protestant Reformation under the guidance of Professor Neuheiser in the history department at UC San Diego. My research explores the writing strategy of Martin Luther and how he appealed to his audience for the survival of his Reformation movement.
First Year Experience Class at UCSD, Discussion Leader
2019 - 2019
I facilitated discussion for 10 weeks with college students in this first-year course. My responsibilities included lesson planning for discussion sections and holding office hours for 4 hours each week. I also graded reflection essays and gave writing feedback every other week.
UCSD, MMW Writing Tutor
2018 - 2018
I tutored college students in half-hour sessions on how to write a research paper. I also gave constructive feedback on written work and instructed students about the writing process.
