How does blood flow once in the heart?
Blood flows from the arteries of the body into the superior vena cava. From there it flows through the right atrium to the right ventricle. From the right ventricle blood goes through the pulmonary artery to the left lung to be oxygenated. Blood then flow back through the pulmonary veins to the left atrium, then down to the left ventricle. From the left ventricle, blood flows out the aorta, through the veins to the rest of the body.
