Why do colors look different in different contexts?
A lot of artists wonder how to get colors to "go" together. One thing to understand from the very beginning is that colors are relative. That is, a particular blue may look at lot bluer next to a black than – say – against a more vibrant blue. A vibrant blue against a more vibrant blue will look more gray, whereas a vibrant blue against black will look electric!
What is a vector?
A vector is a mathematical way to represent a visual shape. Vector art consists of points and "tangents". A tangent is a line that goes through a point – each of ends of the tangent line is called a "handle". When a vector tool is chosen to create a shape, an artist clicks to lay points and (without releasing a click) can drag to control a tangent's length and direction out from the point. A shape is defined by a series of points that are all connected by a single line that runs through the points in directions parallel to the tangents.
What is the purpose of a business plan?
A business plan can be a useful playbook for the running of a business, but its value is mostly in the process of its creation. In the creation of a sound business plan, every aspect of the business from inception to exit is considered, modeled, and researched. If an entrepreneur comes from an unbiased place in the writing process, he or she may discover that the entire premise is flawed and should be abandoned or pivoted – discoveries which can in the long run save years and millions lost. On the other hand, an entrepreneur may alternatively discover the heart and soul of their unique value proposition, marketing and monetization strategies, and business development roadmap which can all be carried through to raise funding capital and potentially build a company that changes the world.
