Answer:

I would recommend the client to consume a low calorie, low carb, low fat diet that is also rich in proteins. This will allow the client to maintain a manageable blood sugar, and assist in maintaining and properly trending A1C levels. Some foods I would recommend include: Oatmeal, egg-whites, fruits in moderation, lean proteins, low-fat yogurts, vegetables and nuts

Answer:

Using the prioritization rule in nursing of A, B, C's (Airway, Breathing, Circulation), I would IN ORDER: 1) Manage the wheezing per physician orders, most likely the use of an albuterol inhaler 2) Place the patient on Oxygen Therapy via non-rebreather mask at 10L to maintain a saturation greater than 92% 3) Manage the fluid imbalance/hypotension per physician orders, most likely a bolus of normal saline depending on the patients past medical history

Answer:

Blood flows from the vena cava, into the right atrium, is then squeezed through the tricuspid valve into the right ventricle, which squeezes blood through the pulmonic valve and into the pulmonary artery which will bring the flow of the blood to be oxygenated in the lungs.
