Coming from a small town with big dreams, I've spent the better part of my life trying to break the barriers that were in front of me--primarily through education. Coming from Middle of Nowehere, USA, I have always felt like an academic. Through high school, I tirelessly worked to better not only my own education, but the education of those around me. Now, as a freshman in college, I'm seeing the true value of an academic mindset as my academic career expands my horizons each and every day.
I founded, chaired, and tutored in my National Honor Society chapter's tutoring initiative. Through this program, I coordinated all of the tutor matches in my school, and also filled in as tutor for any student who did not have a match or could not coordinate a time with the regular tutors.
