About Jake
Jacob is a recent graduate who values education in its many forms. He has volunteered his time as both a teaching assistant within his university's psychology department and the Campus Ally Network (a group focused on LGBTQ+ education). He graduated this year with a BA in Psychology from Indiana University South Bend, along with a minor in Counseling & Human Services. Having enjoyed his time working on research projects, Jacob hopes to continue his education at the Ph.D. level in the very near future.
Teaching Experience
As an undergraduate, I participated in several opportunities that allowed me to teach. I was a teaching assistant for my university's psychology department for a year. This allowed me to teach a full lesson, as well as work with students one-on-one and in small groups for tutoring sessions. For nearly two years now, I have been a facilitator for our Campus Ally Network (CAN) - a program that allows faculty, staff, and students to learn about and discuss LGBTQ+ competency and current issues.
