The two main stages of a scyphozoans life cycle are in the sexually reproducing medusa stage and the feeding polyp stage. The polyps can create other polyps through budding but eventually these polyps will undergo stobilation where multiple ephyra are formed. These ephyra grow into adult medusa, once mature the medusa will reproduce and a planula larva is formed, this larva will then attach to a substrate, becoming another polyp and then the process will start over again.
