When going on a trip to a Spanish-speaking country, what are some basic phrases/words you should know?
If you are looking to get down some words and phrases before you travel to a Spanish-speaking country here are some that I think are essential: ¿Dónde está el baño? -Where is the bathroom? ¿Dónde hay un banco/cajero automático?- Where is there a bank/ATM? ¿Dónde se toma el bus/metro hacia (insert location)?- Where do I take the bus/metro towards (your location) ¿Cuanto cuesta?- How much is it? (when buying something) Buenos días/ Buenas tardes/ Buenas noches - Good morning/ Good afternoon/ Good night Ayuda - Help Por favor - Please Gracias - Thank you
When studying what are 3 things you should avoid?
When you are studying, particularly for something that is challenging to you, you should avoid distractions such as having the T.V on near you, listening to loud music that just distracts you (music that allows you to focus such as instrumental, classical or others similar can be okay), and trying to cram a lot of information in one sitting (you should try to break down your study time into 30-45 min intervals and take 10-15min breaks in between).
What is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy?
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapy in which negative/irrational thought patterns about the person and/or their world are identified, challenged, and then replaced with more rational ones. This in turn leads to changes in negative behaviors, and is extremely effective for a wide range of disorders such as anxiety and depression.
