I grew up in Western Washington and studied abroad while in high school. Graduating from Redmond High School, I headed to the UW where I was a varsity athlete all four years on their national championship team. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science and after a short time working at REI, headed back to school for my education degree. I graduated from EWU and began my teaching career immediately there after in 1999. I married my beautiful and brilliant bride in 2002, and we moved to eastern Washington to begin a family. I continued teaching...
I was initially hired as a chemistry teacher in a high performing High School on the north end of Lake Washington in the Seattle Area. After teaching upper and lower level chemistry, I began to teach sophomore and junior level biology. Upon moving to Spokane, I taught in their highest performing high school as a general science teacher, expanding my science teaching experience to include lower level physics and earth science. I have also spent time teaching middle school science.
