About Abby
Nice to meet you! My name is Abby. I'm a passionate science educator with 6 years of experience teaching in non-formal, experiential education programs. I have 7 years of experience tutoring K-12, and college level life sciences. My number one career goal is to make science accessible to all. I spent 3 years as a plant pathology research scientist. While I LOVE working in the lab, teaching complex science is what brings me joy. I look forward to working with you!
Teaching Experience
Teaching Experience
Most recently I have had the privilege of working for an education non-profit in Alaska. There, I developed and taught outdoor science curriculum that has since been taught throughout the entire school district. From learning on the trails, to conducting student-led investigations, my students came away with a strong understanding of the natural world and a sense of confidence in their academics.
From teaching as an interpretive park ranger to tutoring college calculus on campus and instructing at science museums I have a ton of experience...
