Hi there! My name is Jo. I love finding new ways to talk about old subjects to help students understand and feel comfortable with their course material. When I'm not tutoring, I like to make art, watch documentaries, and hang out with my St. Bernard and two cats.
I've been tutoring for five years in a variety of subjects ranging from eighth grade algebra, science, English, and Spanish to college-level linguistics. My first tutoring experience was at an after-school program primarily for students learning English as a second language as well as students with learning disabilities, and since then I have tutored privately one-on-one for students with disabilities such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, and ADHD. I have ADHD, too, so I know how difficult it can be to succeed academically, but we can make it happen...
