About Jonathan
I'm a first year Ph.D. student in the Neuroscience program at the Medical University of South Carolina so my tutoring specialty is general biomedical sciences. I can teach anything within the fields of biochemistry, general bio, genetics, chemistry, neuroscience, psychology, statistics, etc. I believe the best way to learn something is to put it in context of real-world applications, and that's how I teach. Our lessons won't be about learning how to regurgitate information, but actually about dissecting how biomedical sciences works.

I started my teaching career as a martial arts instructor from 2009-2011, followed by tutoring Spanish for the foreign language honor society in 2012 in high school. At the college level, I acted as an undergraduate teaching assistant for my university's introductory psychology class Jan-May 2015. I became a certified mental health advocate for my UG in Nov 2016 and was responsible for leading seminars on stigma's and truth around mental health and how/when to intervene when necessary.
