About Sharif
Hello! My name is Sharif Jamaldin and I am a rising third-year student at the University of Chicago. I study Economics and Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations, which is essentially Middle Eastern Studies with a heavy emphasis on the Arabic language. When I am not studying, I love to cook and play music. I play the guitar and the banjo, and love all styles of music, from classical to jazz to country.
Teaching Experience
I have a lot of experience tutoring in Mathematics, from Algebra 1 to Calculus BC. I tutored privately from my sophomore year in high school up until now, and have worked with students at every level. I enjoy teaching mathematics and physics because I have a passion for the subject. I feel that often people get too hung up on memorizing formulas instead of understanding concepts.
