Question:

How does having English as your first language effect your view on the world?

Cahner O.
Answer:

I wouldn't have ever thought about this question if it wasn't for my travels. By immersing myself in different cultures and languages, I quickly realized how having English as my first language effected my view on the world. I grew up thinking English was the correct way of talking. The correct name for a car was "car" and the correct name for a house was "house." It completely changed my mindset when I was immersed in a different language and had to accept the fact that "coche" and "casa" were also just as correct.
