Answer:

I do not see the Derick Chauvin conviction as any type of vindication. Rather, I see it as a pseudo peace offering that was made in an attempt to forestall rioting and other potentially harmful activity, within the Michigan community. From the time that Mr. Chauvin was taken into custody until the time of his conviction, many in the Black community and even, the larger community, believed that Mr. Chauvin would not face 'justice' for his crime. The fact that he did, was seen as justice by some, a smokescreen activity by others and the signal of a larger issue to still many others.

Answer:

The primary literary device present in the first epic of - The Odyssey by Homer, is that of allusion. There are certain events and occurrences that happen but that is not directly referred to. The 'ring-around- the-rosy' references demand that the reader dive deeper into that portion of text in order to clarify the overall meaning.
