How do you write a good introduction, and why is it important to do so?
In a standard essay, a good introduction includes a hook sentence, thesis statement, and a brief summary of the crucial points of the essay. For example, in a 5-paragraph essay, you may end up with one sentence for each paragraph or fewer. 1) Hook sentence: Did you know that your academic paper could contain an easy-to-fix but crucial flaw? 2) Point 1: You might think that the most important part of your paper is the body. 3) Point 2: You might even think a solid conclusion is a key to that A+. 4) Point 3: Think about it, though; when was the last time you read past a boring introduction to an article online? 5) Thesis statement: The introduction is often the most important part of your paper.

What is music?
Music, while difficult to define, is easy to understand in a number of ways. Music is a language. It is sound. It is order and chaos. The history of music contains a narrative of human existence. Music is a form of expression. If we must whittle music down to a definition, we can explain it in simplest terms as the sound of tension and resolution. Even this is not necessarily sufficient to define all genres of music, but it does give us a good starting point.
