Question:

Round 4.6791 to the nearest hundredth.

Answer:

In the decimal, the 7 is in the hundredths place. Since 7 is closer to 10 than to 0, we will round up and the 7 will become an 8. Then, all the numbers after will turn in zeros, so the number will become: 4.6800!

Question:

What activities will be appropriate for a pre-school age student?

Answer:

Preschool generally begins at age 3 or 4, and some children will do both years. At 3, students will generally need practice or instruction around how to play with others, how to share, or how to express what they are feeling. There will not be a lot of "content" so to speak in the pre-school years!

Question:

How can I create an engaging, developmentally appropriate, and accessible lesson for my students?

Answer:

This will depend on the lesson/content area you are dealing with, but generally should follow a few rules: 1. Put yourself in the shoes of your student. Will they need to know any other background information to access the content you are teaching? If yes - do that first, they will need it to be engaged! 2. Make sure that your lesson is grounded in real life experiences or relevant to real life. It might be hard to make this connection, but it is 100% necessary! 3. Use student data to give appropriate scaffolds to students! Every student will be at different levels and will need different amounts of support. Also think about the questions... can they read? If yes, put words, if not, put pictures. Can they write? Can they accurately describe their thoughts or feelings? After answering or thinking about each of those questions, then you can start planning!
