How do I analyze and write about literature?
Literature is more than just reading a book or a specific text. It is about understanding it. We need to be able to understand the culture, time period, and language of the piece. To be able to analyze and then write about a piece of literature we need to be able to understand the author, the place, and the time it was written in. We then need to find parts of the text that we enjoy or have questions about and study them. Then we relate those parts of the text to a theme or topic that we can explore more on.
