Describe Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs.
Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs is a widely accepted idea in psychology regarding the order of basic human needs. First, there are the basic needs. Physiological needs are on the bottom tier of the pyramid. These include things necessary for survival such as sleep, water, and food intake. The next part of the pyramid is safety. After these, there are psychological needs. The feeling that one belongs and is loved is the next most important need for humans, as we are a social species. Above this are needs for one's esteem. This level highlights the importance of feeling accomplished. The final tier is self-actualization, which is under the self-fulfillment needs category. After meeting all of the previous needs, one can focus on fulfilling their potential.

In the classic poem "Goblin Market" by Christina Rossetti, describe the symbolism in the way that Laura devoured the fruit. Start at "She clipp'd a precious golden lock..." and end at "Then flung the emptied rinds away.
The poem can be interpreted in a number of ways, but a common analysis is that there was a sort of sexual implication in the lines. In literature, fruit tends to have a connection with sexuality. By eating the fruits as voraciously as she was, the repetition of the sucking, and the description of the juices, one can determine the deeper meanings of the stanza. This can be backed up by how the remainder of the poem seems to be pointing towards a sex addiction or possibly assault between Laura and the goblins, as there was an intensely negative effect on Laura after giving into temptation, leading to the loss of innocence insinuated towards the end of the poem.

Jane found that by hugging Michael, she was able to assuage his anger. What is the meaning of the word "assuage" in the previous sentence?
Using the context of the sentence, the reader can infer that the word should mean "to relieve". Even if the word was previously unknown to the reader, they can follow the logic that Michael was angry, and that hugs are calming. Therefore, the hug would relieve the intensity of his anger.
