What is the standard structure for writing an essay?

Essays can be quite simple if you break down the initial structure. First, off you should have a topic, something you are going to write about whether it is to argue a point or to explain a point of view- it should have a thesis. The first and introduction paragraph should open up with light info on your topic and your thesis statement. It should also state 3 main points as to what you would like to talk about. After your first paragraph is written, continue to talk about your three main points- one for each paragraph. Remember that each paragraph should contain 5-7 well thought out and constructed sentences. Also, it is important to include citations within the sentences if you are using multiple sources. After completing 3 paragraphs worth of information, continue to the last paragraph. This paragraph wraps the whole essay into a few thoughts and sentences. Don't forget to include your beginning thesis statement and to restate your topics from each paragraph. Also, finish strong with an ending sentence, this will give the reader the last thought to take away.

Italian buttercream is extremely stable and easy to manage for icing cakes. It holds up well in different weather conditions and has a longer shelf life than most other buttercreams. Along with this, it is also shiny and produces a nice smooth finish for any cake design. Some of the cons are - It takes longer to produce in large batches, and it can be greatly affected by temperature in the room as it is being made.
