I have a really hard time staying organized and losing assignments.

Answer:

My suggestion to this problem for most students is a closable accordion folder labeled with each class. Have the front slot for any homework your have to do. When it is complete, put it in the subject slot so you can easily access it when you need it.

Question:

I can't do word problems and find them hard. Can you help me?

Answer:

Absolutely! I too had problems with word problems growing up. Start here.. 1. Let's read the problem though out loud first. 2. Now, let's read it slowly and circle any important numbers or information. 3. Read again and underline what you are being asked to solve. Now you have all of your key parts and it helps the brain relax and ignore all of the extra words and stuff you don't need.
