Question:

I'm having trouble finding sources for my essay and am not sure if I have a great structured essay. Can you please help out?

Answer:

Sure! May you begin by sharing me the prompt or purpose of the essay? Do you have an outline structured to help guide you through the essay? What is the thesis of your essay? Is it clear, straight-forward, and answer a so-what question? It's important to be clear and to show the readers why they should care about the topic that you're writing about. Also, how is your hook? Are you drawing in the readers with an intriguing hook? Each sentence in your introduction should be crafted in order to connect with the previous and following sentence to make it a smooth experience for the reader. If you are having trouble, don't stress out! I'm here to help and can provide guidelines for you. We can start by outlining your essay to see what the topic sentences and main ideas are for each of your body paragraphs, and can see what supporting evidence we'd need to search for. That way we can narrow down which sources we should look for. Are you using google scholar to help you find a credible source? Or do you have any other search engines to find sources? We can go through it together and search up the topic and look through abstracts or use the find feature to see if it matches up with your essay. Please let me know if you have any questions and we can walk through this together!

Question:

Why is it hard for me to focus and study consistently?

Answer:

You may want to create an environment that will be conducive for your focus and learning. Are you studying on your bed, table, or desk? Is your environment free of clutter to help you out? Do you have any distractions around such as your phone, television, or games? How are you planning your studying? Are you being intentional and setting a plan for yourself? Are you giving yourself ample breaks to refresh and absorb your studies? Are you taking deep breaths or meditating to relax and calm your mind? Walk me through a typical study process and I'll be able to provide suggestions. Thank you!
