Questions
Subject: Writing
What are the primary elements of the writing process that students must consider for every assignment?
Audience (who are you writing for?), Purpose (what is your ultimate purpose with this piece of writing?), Context (what does the audience need to understand for your writing to make sense?), Genre (which writing genre will best portray what you want to say?), and Media (in what physical/digital ways can you share your writing?)
Subject: Study Skills
Why do students struggle with studying?
Students often lack an understanding of what mastery of a subject really entails. They are so caught up in the subjects themselves that they never actually learn what studying itself actually involves: dedicated time, real focus, no multitasking, and no distractions. Passion for a subject can never be developed without undistracted focus, and passion is where real learning occurs.
Subject: English
Who ultimately determines the meaning and coherence of a piece of writing?
The reader. Your writing is only as good as what a reader can make of it. In communication, you should always be writing for an audience, not for yourself.
