Questions

Subject: Spanish

TutorMe
Question:

Why do I drop the subject in Spanish? ¿Por qué no es necesario incluir el sujeto en español?

Answer:

Spanish verb endings often render the subject redundant so they are usually dropped, except for emphasis or to avoid ambiguity, but English grammar requires that the subject be stated. Por ejemplo: Ayer, comimos mucha pizza. No es necesario decir "Nosotros" ya que en español se entiende la identidad del sujeto por la terminación del verbo (desinencia verbal).

Answer:

Charles Darwin. Fun fact: Long before he upended the field of biology, Darwin attended Edinburgh University with the intent of becoming a doctor like his father. That didn't last long, however, as the younger Darwin reportedly couldn't stand the sight of blood.

Subject: English as a Second Language

Question:

How does learning English improve my professional career and help grow within my company?

Answer:

Language skills expose speakers to different cultures and business areas. For global businesses that deal with clients, suppliers and employees around the globe, multilingualism bridges gaps between cultures, and fosters stronger personal relationships on which great business relationships rely on.
