During this past December, I was hired by Sully Historic Site in Chantilly, VA as the college intern. Sully Historic Site is a nationally registered historical site that depicts family life in the early 1800’s. Sully was home to Richard Bland Lee, Virginia’s first elected representative to Congress, in 1794 and today serves as an example of what life was like in Virginia during the birth of our nation. Artisan Confections, Sales Associate

In November, I was hired as a sales associate at Artisan Confections in Fairfax, VA. Artisan Confections is a locally owned chocolate shop that makes handmade chocolates. As a sales associate my job is to manage the smaller of the two locations during my shifts. During my shifts, I am responsible for helping customers select chocolates, restocking product shelves, cleaning the shop, answering phones, recording inventory, and other duties the go along with helping run a small business.

During the summer of 2017 I had the opportunity to participate in an internship at Gammelgarden Museum in Scandia, MN. Gammelgarden is a Swedish heritage museum with the mission of preserving, protecting, and promoting the Swedish immigrant experience to all their guests.
