Explain the difference between Verse versus Prose
Verse is written in iambic pentameter, and with the exception of Richard the Second, which is completely written in verse, is usually used by characters of high status or characters experiencing heightened emotions. Prose is not written in iambic pentameter. It is usually reserved for lower-status characters or characters who are speaking more casually. For instance, Hamlet uses prose when he is pretending (or actually is, depending on who you ask) to be insane, but uses Verse when his emotions are heightened, as they are for all of his soliloquies.

Explain one cultural cause of the Revolutionary War.
The Revolutionary War was caused by several factors. One cultural cause was the effect of the Enlightenment. The Enlightenment was a period of time in which intellectual thinkers proposed that the people put empirical observation over superstition. The Enlightenment also proposed the idea of "Natural Rights". This idea stated that people have rights simply by virtue of being people. The Enlightenment truly was a cultural phenomenon that affected people like Thomas Jefferson in the U.S. Because the idea of Natural Rights included the stipulation that if a ruler failed to recognize these natural rights, they could be deposed, it helped justify the Revolution to many Americans. Proof of this lies in the Declaration of Independence itself, wherein Thomas Jefferson largely borrows from John Locke. John Lock said that people have a natural right to life, liberty, and property. The Declaration borrows this, and slightly changes it, to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. This shows the connection between the Enlightenment and the U.S. Revolution and provides evidence that one helped cause the other.
