What should we stop doing as a company?
I believe many companies, including the ones I have worked for, micro-manage their employees. This is hampering the ability of a company to be even more successful. First step is to take a look at HR hiring practices. It’s important to spend time on hiring and hire the right people for the job. If the right people are hired, they should be capable of delivering on their tasks. Many managers (not lesders) micro-manage when the job descriptions haven’t been clearly communicated to employees. Finally, it’s important to trust your employees will do their jobs instead of constantly acquiring about routine assignments.
