I am a marine biologist specialized in ecology, evolution, and biodiversity. During the 12 years, I spent in the academics, I was using all the state-of-arts methods used to study marine species and ecosystems: DNA analysis, Geographic Information Systems, databases, statistics and more...
I have authored numerous scientific papers reports that address evolution, marine ecology and biodiversity, conservation.
I have worked in France, in Japan, and in Micronesia. And I have been teaching science and mentoring students throughout my whole...
I started teaching while doing my Ph.D. At that time I was teaching junior and high school students at home, and guiding visitors at the Natural Museum of Natural History.
Then like most Ph.D. I went working overseas. I worked in Japan for 5 years and in Micronesia for 3 years. There I was involved in a big project of marine conservation. Our goal was to provide local communities with the skills required to do science-based marine conservation. As such, I was required to teach marine biology and ecology to high-school and college students.

Biodiversity patterns and connectivity in Palau reef ecosystems. Goal : provide local
communities with the knowledge and logistics required to define Marine Protected areas in Palau.
Scientific project’s details:
(1) biodiversity assessment of marine invertebrates
(2) evolutionary patterns (population connectivity and speciation intra-archipelago)
(3) biological indicators, monitoring and conservation
(1) setting up of the a laboratory for DNA analysis
(2) teaching marine biology and ecology, DNA analysis, GIS,
