Teaching Experience
I started teaching while doing my Ph.D. At that time I was teaching junior and high school students at home, and guiding visitors at the Natural Museum of Natural History. Then like most Ph.D. I went working overseas. I worked in Japan for 5 years and in Micronesia for 3 years. There I was involved in a big project of marine conservation. Our goal was to provide local communities with the skills required to do science-based marine conservation. As such, I was required to teach marine biology and ecology to high-school and college students.
