The SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) has the role to essentially watch out and protect individual investors and maintain the lawful operations of various securities. FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) is watched over by the SEC and is designed to regulate Broker-Dealers.

US History

Question:

June 6, 1944, a prominent and notorious day in history, allowed the US and its allies to possess an advantageous position in a global conflict. What was this day called? What is the significance of its beach front position, and how did it reverse the tide of the conflict?

Danny G.
Answer:

This day in US history is known as D-Day. This invasion of Normandy consisted of five major beaches, the bloodiest being Omaha beach due to the major cliffs and the heavily fortification by the German Army. Instead of dropping soldiers from above into Germany lines, the invasion allowed a literal physical line on the Western Front of World War II. This then pushed German forces farther East, soon to be met by the Red Army (Soviets). When the US and the allies successfully invaded Normandy in multiple waves, the Nazi Dictator, Adolf Hitler, inevitably knew this was the turning point of the war. He not only had to worry about the threat of Great Britain, but the United States and other allies as well.
