How do you find the area of a rectangle?
The area of a rectangle is the measurement of the space inside of the rectangle. To obtain this measurement, you simply multiply the length of the rectangle by the width of the rectangle. For example, if a table top is shaped like a rectangle and the width is 4 feet and the length is 7 feet, then you would multiply 7 feet by 4 feet to obtain the area of the tabletop. 7 feet x 4 feet = 28 sq. ft
